The Minister of Mr. Muqtada Al-Sadr, Saleh Muhammad Al-Iraqi, revealed questions raised by Mr. Al-Sadr during a meeting in Al-Hanana regarding the electoral programs of the nominated political blocs, and whether they carry a serious national project. Minister Al-Sadr said in a blog post followed by Al-Raya: “I am writing these words while our meeting with him in Al-Hanana is still ongoing,” adding that Al-Sadr asked: “Which of the blocs nominated for the elections, in your opinion, can have independence without dependence on its program?” He pointed out that "Mr. Al-Sadr also questioned the extent of these blocs' commitment to the slogans of 'confining weapons to the state, strengthening the army and police, dissolving the militias, merging or organizing the Popular Mobilization Forces within the security forces, adhering to patriotism, exposing the corrupt, and seeking reform.'" Al-Iraqi concluded by saying, “Al-Sadr also raised an important question related to the possible guarantees that must be taken from those blocs in exchange for granting them “honorable votes,” indicating the presence of a conditional position for the Sadrist movement regarding participation or support of parties in the electoral race.
