An informed source revealed that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani will visit Basra Governorate tomorrow morning, Thursday, on a tour that includes laying the foundation stone for a strategic seawater desalination project.

The source said that the visit will also include holding an expanded meeting that brings together the Sudanese with the local government in Basra, in the presence of a number of tribal notables, within the framework of following up on the services file and coordinating local efforts with the federal government.

According to information, the Prime Minister's Protection Regiment has arrived in Basra in preparation for the visit, while its first stop is expected to be the opening of Safwan General Hospital with a capacity of 100 beds, which is considered a new boost to the health sector in the far south of the governorate.
