Through a television interview, the leader of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Abu Turab al-Tamimi, announced his departure from the organization, vowing to “reveal what is hidden.” Al-Tamimi said on the “Al-Muharbaq” program that he “left the Popular Mobilization Forces and decided to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections.” Al-Tamimi vowed to reveal everything and what happened previously, especially those who exploit the name of the Popular Mobilization Forces, as he put it. He added, "The Popular Mobilization Forces were harmed from within and outside the organization, but they were harmed more by parties outside the Mobilization Forces."
