The Basra Governorate Council denied what was reported by some news agencies and websites regarding its rejection of the decision of the Basra Education Directorate regarding the dismissal of the director of the Education Department of Al-Zubair District.

A statement followed by Al-Raya stated that the Council considers this decision an administrative matter exclusively related to the Basra Governorate Education Directorate, denying any interference in this file.

The statement added that the statements attributed to a member of the Council in this regard are considered an expression of personal opinion, stressing that the Council respects all opinions and values ​​freedom of expression within the legal frameworks and internal regulations of the Council.
