The head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, directed the competent courts to tighten penalties and legal procedures against trespassers on the main and subsidiary rivers and fish lakes that are not legally approved, based on Irrigation Law No. (83) of 2017.

It was stated in a document followed by Al-Raya that the President of the Supreme Judicial Council stressed the courts  to prevent interference in the work of the irrigation and agricultural departments, and to remove violations that hinder their tasks, in the context of confronting the major challenges that the country is witnessing in the issue of water scarcity.
