The Governor of Basra, Asaad Abdul Amir Al-Eidani, discussed with the Turkish Consul in Basra Muhannad Ozkun a number of common files, most notably diplomatic coordination and service cooperation between the governorate and Ankara.
A statement from the governor's office, followed by Al-Raya, stated that Al-Eidani received the Turkish consul at the governor's office, to discuss developments related to strengthening bilateral relations.
This meeting comes as a continuation of an official visit conducted recently by the Governor of Basra to Türkiye, which included the capital, Ankara, and the city of Istanbul, and aimed to discuss strategic files, most notably water and health, with the participation of a specialized technical delegation.
Al-Eidani stressed that the governorate is continuing to follow up on the results of that visit through joint meetings with the Turkish side, which will contribute to finding practical solutions to the service challenges facing Basra.
