The Popular Mobilization Forces announced the implementation of a qualitative operation that resulted in the arrest of the prominent leader of the banned Baath Party, Abdul Razzaq Hasaj Odeh, after careful intelligence follow-up that lasted for weeks.

The Commission explained that the arrested person was involved in heinous crimes against citizens during the previous regime, including participating in the execution of several innocent people, in addition to continuing to communicate with Baathist elements that threaten the country’s security and stability.

The Popular Mobilization Forces confirmed that this operation reflects the vigilance of the intelligence services, calling on the families of the victims to go to the judicial authorities to submit their complaints in preparation for his trial, and affirming its continued protection of Iraq and its people from any threat affecting its security and unity.
