The South Gas Company announced the implementation of a new project to connect gas produced from the Majnoon field to the North Rumaila field, with the aim of processing it and benefiting from it. The technical assistant to the company's general manager, Majed Muhammad Al-Shawaf, said that the project includes extending a new pipeline from North Rumaila to the Rumaila plant affiliated with the Basra Gas Company, to treat the produced gas by drying it and separating the liquids from it before pumping it into the national network. Al-Shawaf stated that the pipeline extends for a distance ranging between 7 and 7.5 kilometers, with a diameter of 24 inches, indicating that it will contribute to supplying the Basra Gas Company with treated gas that is free of impurities and condensates.
