The Director of Commercial Control in Basra, Maan Al-Asadi, confirmed that the governorate’s stores contain sufficient stocks of food supplies, stressing that citizens will not face any shortage or scarcity of food items.

Al-Asadi explained that some of the stored materials are sufficient for up to six rations, while other materials are sufficient for four or five rations, pointing out that the operations of preparing the items will begin soon as soon as the official ration is issued, in an organized and smooth manner.

He added that all logistical and technical preparations are complete, and that the current delay is only due to waiting for the official announcement of the quota, stressing that the food supply situation is stable and free of fears.

He pointed out that the Commercial and Financial Control Department in Basra continues to closely follow the file to ensure that the items reach citizens without any obstacles, while field follow-up continues until the entire distribution process is completed.
