Basra Provincial Council member Ali Adnan stressed that the visit of the Minister of Health, along with his insistence on not implementing the Provincial Council’s decision to dismiss the Director General of Basra Health, represents an incomprehensible position from both a legal and professional standpoint, stressing that the legal term of the current administration ended four years ago.

Adnan stated in a press statement that ignoring the demands of the council and the public raises astonishment, especially in light of the large amount of complaints and violations officially submitted, which relate to clear files related to negligence, negligence, and mismanagement in the health sector in the governorate.

He added that the Minister of Health's failure to respond to these data, despite their clarity and the repeated demands to hold negligent persons accountable, sends negative messages about the mechanism for dealing with the decisions of local and supervisory authorities.

Today, the Minister of Health arrived in Basra Governorate, and was received by local government officials and the Director General of Health of the Governorate.
