Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani stressed the Ministry’s keenness to maintain the levels of incentives received by members of the oil sector, given the importance of this sector in securing the state’s main resources.

The minister said that crude oil exports amounted to 3 million and 400 thousand barrels per day from the ports of southern Iraq, in addition to between 200 and 210 thousand barrels per day through the Turkish port of Ceyhan.

He added that oil cadres contributed to increasing the production of local refineries and achieving self-sufficiency in white products, in addition to developing gas projects and directing them to operate electric power generation plants, stressing that the ministry is keen to maintain current incentive levels.
