The Iraqi government condemned the American attack that targeted the Habbaniyah military clinic, killing 7 Iraqi army members.

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces confirmed in a statement that targeting is a crime that violates sovereignty and international law.

The government stressed that it reserved the right to respond in accordance with the legal frameworks, with a diplomatic move that included summoning the US Chargé d'Affairs and handing over a strongly worded note of protest, in parallel with preparing an official complaint to be submitted to the UN Security Council.
