Today, the Popular Mobilization Forces condemned the American air aggression that targeted Iraqi army units in Anbar Governorate, stressing that it represents a blatant violation of national sovereignty and an unacceptable transgression against the security forces.

The authority said in a statement that the strike resulted in the martyrdom of a number of members of the security forces, describing them as “heroes of duty” who gave their lives in defense of Iraq and its sovereignty, stressing that their blood “will not be in vain and will remain an incentive to strengthen the unity of the national ranks and protect the independence of Iraqi decision-making.”

She added that this attack constitutes a dangerous escalation that affects the prestige of the state and its military institutions, affirming its full support for the armed forces in confronting any threat targeting the country’s security.

The Commission called on the concerned authorities to take a firm stance to ensure the preservation of the rights of Iraq and the preservation of the blood of its people. It also urged the Iraqi people to unite and support the security services at this sensitive stage.

She stressed that protecting national sovereignty is a shared responsibility, renewing her pledge to continue defending Iraq in the face of any external aggression.
