The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement confirming the government’s rejection of any attack or targeting targeting the Arab Gulf states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, stressing that the security of the sisterly Arab countries is an integral part of Iraqi national security, and that the stability of the region represents a common interest for its people.

The statement came at a time when the regional environment is witnessing increasing tensions, and it reaffirmed Iraq's commitment to its foreign policy based on balance, building cooperative relations with countries in the region and the world, and working together to enhance security and stability and reduce tensions.

The statement also made it clear that the Iraqi government is continuing to take the necessary measures to deal with any security challenges in accordance with the constitution and the law, with the security services continuing to coordinate with their counterparts in brotherly and friendly countries, and expressing full readiness to receive any information or evidence related to any potential targeting emanating from Iraqi territory.

The statement stressed the rejection of the use of Iraqi territory for any aggression against other countries, and the government’s commitment to protecting the country’s sovereignty, strengthening fraternal relations, and preventing any actions that may harm the security and stability of the region.

The statement also indicated that Baghdad continues to communicate with sister countries to support initiatives and joint work to stop the war and return to diplomatic solutions and political dialogue, in an attempt to reduce the damage to peoples and economies and achieve security and stability for all.
