Academic and economic expert Nabil Al-Marsoumi revealed, on Sunday, that Iraq had received an offer to lay oil pipelines from the Hong Kong-based “Heritage Funds LPF” company, pointing to the company’s experience in financing government projects and its willingness to implement and finance the construction of the oil and gas pipeline project with an engineering, procurement and construction financing system based on barter contracts with a share of crude oil.
Al-Marsoumi explained that the company submitted its offer to the Iraqi Ministry of Oil to implement the following two projects. The first is a project extending from the port of Basra to the city of Haditha, and from Haditha to Aqaba in Jordan or the port of Latakia on the Mediterranean Sea in Syria, while the second is a line extending from the port of Basra to the Turkish border.
