The leader of the Shiite National Movement, Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr, announced a new package of controls for the Peace Brigades formations, focusing on regulating the movement of vehicles, the mechanism of carrying weapons, and behavioral discipline for members and leaders.

According to the directives, the number of wheels allocated to the division servant or the brigade official in the governorate was limited to a maximum of four vehicles, with the number decreasing depending on the organizational location.

The instructions also specified the type of vehicles allowed to be used to be limited to Korean or Chinese vehicles, while prohibiting the use of wheels that are black or not officially registered.

The controls included preventing the installation of Peace Brigades logos or pictures and names of the Al-Sadr family on vehicles, in addition to restricting the use of tinted windows on official and security wheels related to tasks only, while obliging members to adhere to traffic regulations and security control procedures.

The directives also stipulated prohibiting the entry of vehicles belonging to companies, especially official or shaded ones, into the holy shrines and government departments, in addition to prohibiting the carrying of unlicensed weapons inside vehicles except in cases of extreme necessity.

On the other hand, the instructions called for placing a copy of the Holy Qur’an inside each wheel, with an emphasis on preserving the general appearance of the members of the Peace Brigades in a manner consistent with public taste and behavior.
