The leader of the Shiite National Movement, Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr, congratulated Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi on the occasion of his government gaining the confidence of the House of Representatives, during a phone call that brought together the two sides.

The two sides stressed the importance of preserving Iraq's sovereignty and stability, stressing the need to strengthen national cohesion at the current stage.

Al-Sadr praised the efforts of the Prime Minister, appreciating what he described as the “spirit of determination, resolve and determination” that he enjoyed after assuming his official duties.

For his part, Al-Zaidi appreciated the patriotic positions of Mr. Al-Sadr, stressing the importance and effectiveness of the Shiite national movement in the political and social realities.
