Today, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep concern about what was reported about facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia being targeted by three drones, stressing the depth of the fraternal and historical relations that unite the two countries, and Iraq’s keenness to strengthen bilateral cooperation and the continuation of its position rejecting any targeting of sister countries.

The Ministry stated, in a statement, that it had received preliminary information regarding the targeting of the Kingdom by three drones, noting that the competent authorities immediately initiated verification and investigation procedures to determine the circumstances of the incident.

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry confirmed that “no information regarding it was transmitted through Iraqi air defense means and optical equipment,” noting its continuous follow-up of relevant information.

The Ministry called on the relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to cooperate and exchange information in a way that contributes to obtaining accurate information that enhances security and stability in the two countries.

She stressed Iraq's firm position in respecting the security and sovereignty of sister countries, and rejecting any actions that affect their stability or threaten their national security, stressing continued coordination and consultation with Saudi Arabia in a way that serves common interests and enhances the security and stability of the region.
