A member of the political bureau of the Sumerian Movement, Hassanein Al-Rikabi, attributed the reasons for the movement’s withdrawal from the Reconstruction and Development Coalition to “the decision alone,” revealing at the same time the behind-the-scenes and secrets of the withdrawal of the head of the Irada Movement, Hanan Al-Fatlawi, from the coalition and the ongoing arrangements to announce it officially.

Al-Rikabi said that exclusivity in making the decision was the main motive behind the withdrawal, accusing Al-Sudani of exclusivity in choosing the ministers of the Reconstruction Coalition, pointing out that choosing “Ali Wahib” for the Ministry of Electricity was the direct reason behind Al-Fatlawi’s withdrawal. 

Al-Rikabi added that Al-Fatlawi has already withdrawn from the coalition, but will announce this officially after her return from Hajj. 

Pointing out that the new “Al-Bayan Alliance” now includes 23 representatives, at a time when mediations are continuing to return Ahmed Al-Asadi to the Reconstruction Coalition after he was a decision maker in the framework before the arrival of Al-Sudani, who pledged to give him a ministry and betrayed the covenant, stressing that there is no American veto on Al-Asadi, who was aspiring to the ministerial portfolio.

In contrast to this narrative of withdrawal, a striking contradiction emerged, revealed by the leader of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, Mashreq Al-Fariji, who confirmed that Hanan Al-Fatlawi “is still present within the special groups (groups) affiliated with the Reconstruction Coalition,” considering that the recent withdrawal movement has cleared important areas and identified the real positions within the coalition.
